Forgetful Motril judge finds herself in court today

The forgotten prisoner spent more than a year in prison for a crime he did not commit because of the judge's error
The court case gets underway today in the Andalucian High Court of Justice, TSJA, in Granada against the Judge from Motril, Adelina Entrena. She is accused of forgetting to order the release of a prisoner, José Campoy Maldonado, a man who had spent more than a year in prison for a crime which he was finally found not guilty of.
The case is expected to last the next three days and a dozen of witnesses are to be called, including the José Campoy himself, his mother and the secretary of the court in Motril run by the judge.
The Prosecutors’ Office is calling for a 60,000 € compensation payment and a suspension for the judge of 15 months.
