15 year old boy goes missing from Málaga village

Manolo Marín Hidalgo was last seen in Canillas de Aceituno on Monday evening
The search is underway for a 15 year old boy, Manolo Marín Hidalgo, who has been missing from his home in Canillas de Aceituno in Málaga province since Monday. It’s thought that he has run away from home.

About 100 local residents combed the local area on Wednesday in search for the youngster, and police are concerned as he is thought to have left without money, ID or his mobile phone.
Police say they are following up on a couple of clues – that he was seen at a bus stop in Vélez-Málaga and again in Torre del Mar.

The Mayor of Canillas de Aceituno, José Manuel Aranda, said that youngster had told his friends he would not be into school on Tuesday as he had to go to the doctor with his mother, something which was not true, but indicates that he had planned a trip.

He was wearing dark trousers, a blue and yellow-stripped t shirt and dark jacket when he was last seen at 5pm on Monday night.
