Today the west of the country will see the wettest of the weather
The Spanish Met office AEMET has warned that there will be heavy and persistant rain across the western half of the country today, and in Andalucía strong winds will be seen, especially on high ground. Wind will also be present on La Palma and the peaks of Tenerife.

An orange alert for heavy rain and strong winds is in force in Málaga province from noon today. Rain of some 80 litres per square metre is forecast over 12 hours in some areas of the costa, the guadalhorce valley and in Ronda. Winds of upto 90km/hour expected on high ground.

It will be slightly cooler across the country and the wet conditions are forecast to continue for all this week.
