A new area of the port is being offered by tender for building
The port of Alicante is planning a new tender which will see building on a 100,000m2 site located at the end of quay 19.
The person who wins the tender will have the right to manage the land for 15-20 years.
President of the Alicante Port Authority, Sergio Campos, noted that the new area is separate from that already awarded to the Terminales Marítimas del Sureste company.
The new tender was presented as part of the works to extend the port. The work has a budget of 65 million €, 25 million of it coming from EU funding.
