The Spanish singer was starting a new world tour in Los Ángeles yesterday

65 year old Spanish crooner Julio Iglesias sold out the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Ángeles yesterday at the start of a new world tour and decided he wanted to tell his audience about his sex life. The hour and a half concert saw the singer confess that he really makes love to his audience, as well as kissing his backing singers.

‘If I was gay I would be the best gay of all history’, he declared, adding, ‘Earlier, not long ago, I could make love in the dressing room, and then come out and sing’, but he confessed that was no longer the case. He also told his audience that his relationship with Spain, where he is not regarded as such as big star, made him ‘unhappy’.

Singing in Spanish, English, Italian, French and Galician, he called on his United States audience to learn more languages so they ‘don’t miss out on the grand musicians of the world’.

The tour will take him to New York, Croatia, Turkey and to so some twenty stadiums in Latin America. At least five Spanish cities are on the tour which hits Europe in the summer, with dates confirmed so far in Málaga, Marbella and Cádiz.
