Fantastic! Nice to see the old traditions never die. It was probably over
who got what in the Will: an argument over who got Auntie Pepa's china soup
dish in the form of a dolphin, or something.
Have the provincial courts in Spain got nothing better to do? Maybe like
helping the courts in Madrid sort through the backed-up cases created
during the strike last month?

The female agressor pinched another woman in her private parts during a funeral service, causing a wound which took four days to heal.
A story from deepest Spain and the village of Santiago-Pontones in Jaén. The Provincial Court in Jaén has handed down a 90 € fine against a 74 year old woman who admitted to pinching another woman’s vulva while sitting in the local church attending a funeral.
Refugio M.S. was found guilty as charged and the court heard how her pinch caused an injury to the other woman, described by doctors as a contusion, which took four days to heal. The chamber heard that the two women were enemies because of long-standing family differences.
The instruction court 2 in Villacarrillo had initially ordered the agressor to pay a fine of 180 €, plus 108 € more in compensation to the victim, but the 74 year old then appealed to the Provincial Court. The higher court kept the compensation in place but reduced the fine, given that the aggressor ‘is a pensioner and could find making the payments difficult’.
