So Alonso is no longer driving an Asturias Milk Cow, then? Doesn't matter,
unless it was a parachutte attached to the back of the renault what was
keeping Alonso back, i don't think he'll do much better on the day, even
though Montmeló is his favorite.
Who the hell let the Kaiser back on the track?

The improvement came thanks to changes in the aerodynamics of the R28 Renault
Fernando Alonso was the fastest in practice at the Montmeló circuit near Barcelona yesterday, in what was a dramatic improvement for Renault following aerodynamic changes to the design of the new R28 car.
In the three days of practice at the track only Felipe Massa had recorded a faster time than that of Alonso yesterday, who clocked a 1:18.483.
The improvement came for the driver from Asturias on slick tyres however, which are banned in races this year.
Second in practice yesterday was Michael Schumacher at just under a second behind.
The top ten times in yesterday’s session:
1. FERNANDO ALONSO (Renault) 1:18.483 - 64 laps
2. Michael Schumacher (Ferrari) 1:19.323 -36 laps
3. Adrian Sutil (Force India) 1:19.424 - 66 laps
4. Robert Kubica (BMW Sauber) 1:19.785 -60 laps
5. Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) 1:20.591 - 47 laps
6. Mark Webber (Red Bull) 1:20.849 -51 laps
7. Jarno Trulli (Toyota) 1:20.867 - 35 laps
8. Rubens Barrichello (Honda) 1:21.443 -73 laps
9. Nico Rosberg (Williams) 1:21.776 -15 laps
10. Sebastien Bourdais (Toro Rosso) 1:21.786 - 52 laps
