Local residents in the Sevilla town remain angry at the fire service response to the fire.
The autopsy on the victims of the house fire in Écija in which six people lost their lives has concluded that they all died in a question of minutes from carbon monoxide poisoning.
After that the bodies were burnt by the flames.

There were protests in the Sevilla town after family and friends claimed that the fire service took too long to arrive, but there are also reports that they responded to a single call to them in four minutes.

A family member who is nephew and cousin to two to die in the blaze has said that the first call was made to the fire service at 7.10am and the fire service did not respond until after half past. He says a check on the neighbour’s phone bill will prove his point and that he will denounce the Town Hall.

The anger of some of the local people at the time was such that some stoned the fire engine. Police say that those who did so have now been identified.

The Mayor of the town, Juan Wic, has promised a full investigation into the blaze and the fire service response to it.
