Four people chose to get off the flight rather than travel with the man who made the prediction.
A 25 year old Spaniard caused a delay on a flight from Málaga to Edinburgh on Tuesday by shouting ‘We are all going to die today’ as the plane was ready for take of.
Such was the effect in the cabin that the Capitan decided to delay the take off, which finally took place an hour an a half later.
The man was among the passengers who did finally take off, but four others decided to get off the plane as they were too frightened.
A Málaga airport spokesman told El País that he did not understand how the plane Capitan allowed the man concerned to continue with his journey, as the usual procedure would have been to ask him to get off. He and his luggage were thoroughly searched before the flight finally set off.

I'm pretty sure it's spelled "Captain" in English. Same letters, different
order. :-)

I'd have liked to send the original article to a (Spanish) friend of mine -
any chance of a link to it in El País?

Sylvia - It was in the print version of yesterday's Andalucía supplement
which does not appear to be online. (Just tried to find it without
success).
It can probably be purchased as a pdf file from El Pais.

Maybe flight companies should give passengers a psychological exam before
issueing Tickets? This isn't the first time there's been problems with
d*ckheads on planes at Málaga Airport

Thanks anyway. I am amazed that they let a clearly disruptive passenger
remain on the flight!
