The Provincial Court considered the Bishop had acted in line with his higher authority.
The Provincial Court in Granada has corrected a sentence handed down against the Archbishop of the city by Judge Miguel Ángel Torres (famous for the instruction of the Malaya case in Marbella), and now found the Archbishop, Francisco Javier Martínez, not guilty of coercion and slander as had been alleged by a priest.
The provincial court considered that the behaviour of the Bishop was in line with his higher authority between the two men, and ordered the case to be closed.
