The Town Hall is expected to remove protection orders on the building today.
The Town Council in Orihuela is today expected to give the green light to a modification of the Urban Plan which will mean that the remains of the town’s bullring will see its protection order removed and can now be demolished.
The bullring is more than 100 years old and currently has a level two protection order in place.
The news will come as a disappointment for some local groups which have been trying to protect the building.
