A fax has arrived in the Ayuntamiento demanding half a million Euro.
El Mundo reports that Madrid City Hall has received an anonymous fax which threatens to blow up the famous Cibeles fountain in the city unless half a million Euro is paid.

A lawyer from the City Hall informed the National Police about the threat yesterday and they are investigating the case. It could just be a hoax or a joker, but it seems the City Hall want to make sure although they have released no official statement on the matter as yet.

The Cibeles fountain is the tradition site for celebrations when Real Madrid or other national teams win silverware.
