66 year old woman the latest fatal victim of domestic violence in Spain

The victim, who has not yet been named, had a distancing order in place against her alleged agressor.

A 66 year old woman has been killed in Jerez de la Frontera by having her throat cut by her 77 year old ex partner.
There was a distancing order in place against the alleged aggressor who has now been arrested.

The latest fatal case of domestic violence in Spain took place in the Pago de San José area of Jerez de la Frontera on Saturday morning just before 11. Police received a phone call saying a woman had been seriously injured but by the time the emergency services arrived at the scene the victim had already died from the blood loss to a neck wound.

Local police had to calm neighbours who witnessed the attack.
As yet the names of the victim and the aggressor have yet to be released.
