Real Madrid celebrate winning the league and Zaragoza are relegated.

Zaragoza have been relegated to the second division in Spain on the last day of the league yesterday, and Racing Santander have, for the first time in their 95 years history, classified for the UEFA Cup thanks to a goal from Iván Bolado. Osasuna, Recrativo and Valladolid finally stay in the Primera Liga.

Real Madrid enjoyed a 5-2 win against Levante, whose players gave up their strike for the match. They end the season with 85 points, a record for the times of 20 teams in the Primera Liga.
The team were presented with the League Cup after the game bringing a fiesta to the Bernabéu.

Villarreal take second place with the best season in their history.

Barcelona take third place with a 3-5 win against relegated

Murcia as their last match with Frank Rijkaard as manager.

Sevilla finished fifth and take the UEFA place along with Racing.
