Telma Ortiz wants protection for herself and her family from Spanish photographers and the gossip press.

The sister of Letizia, the Princess of Asturias, Telma Ortiz, has announced that she will appeal against the court ruling which said she had no right to privacy from the photographers of the media in Spain, given that she was a public figure.

She had gone to court asking that the media be ordered to not take her photograph, or that of her husband Enrique Martín Llop without their permission, alleging media abuse and even a danger of physical harm. Her previous request was rejected by the judge in Toledo who also ordered her to pay the costs of bringing the case, estimated to be 50,000 €.

The order to pay costs is also being challenged by Telma Ortiz in her appeal.
