The controversial right wing presenter is currently embarked on a campaign to change the leadership of the Partido Popular.
The Catholic Church-owned COPE radio station, known for its right wing programming, has announced that it is to renew the contract for its controversial morning presenter, Federico Jiménez Losantos.
Also being given another year on air is fellow presenter César Vidal who hosts a night time show.
The latest ratings give Losantos 1,533,000 listeners.
