British DJ arrested in Spain on 12 counts of rape in the UK

Ricky Devine worked on the local expat radio station in Orihuela.
National Police in Orihuela have arrested a 49 year old British man, Ricky Devine, who is wanted in the U.K. in connection with as many as 12 rapes.

The arrest was carried out earlier this week on an European Extradition Order, according to sources at the Alicante provincial police station.

Devine lived in an urbanisation in Orihuela Costa and is understood to have worked occasionally on a local expat radio station, Exite FM.

Información newspaper reports that he offered no resistance to his arrest and has been taken to Madrid ahead of his extradition back to Britain.
