Man dies in Elda house fire

It's thought the fire was started accidentally.
A man in his 70’s who lived alone has died in a house fire in Calle Pablo Iglesias in Elda.

It happened in the early hours of Sunday, for reasons which are still being investigated, and the man died from the burns he received in the blaze, despite being rescued from the flames by a local policeman before a bombona gas bottle exploded.

It’s thought the fire could have been started accidentally.
