Hundreds of thousands of DVD's and CD's have been recovered in the case codenamed 'Talgo'.
National Police in Spain have arrested 50 Chinese residents in connection with counterfeiting charges, and hundreds of thousands of copies of DVD’s and CD’s have been impounded in raids carried out across the country.
Police codenamed the operation ‘Talgo’ and say they have also seized copying towers which total 506 DVD copying machines. They are describing it as the largest swoop against audiovisual pirating seen in Spain in recent years. The arrests took place in Madrid, Ávila, Aranda de Duero, Burgos, Córdoba, Écija, Guadalajara, Segovia, Soria and Irún.
