News of the new idea was presented to Congress by the new Minister for Equality, Bibiana Aído, today.
The new and youngest minister in the Zapatero cabinet, Bibiana Aído, made her first appearance as Minister for Equality in Congress today, and announced the Government’s plans to open a new phone help line for men who feel violent towards their partners. She told Congress that it was necessary to go to the origin of the problem, in order to take action on its cause.

The Minister said she hoped the new phone service would help the men to ‘channel their aggressiveness, instead of resorting to violence’.

Aído also announced a new publicity campaign would be launched next month in order to draw greater awareness to the problem.

Already in service is the 016 phone number for those who are victims of domestic violence, where they can obtain advice and place a formal complaint against their aggressor.

This is going to be ridiculed...only this morning on the 'station of hate' - Cope Radio, were going 'asaco' against Bibiana.

Let's give her time to settle-in, but does anyone else feel she's a little lightweight? I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
