One of those arrested for Cádiz kidnapping is the cousin of Mariano Rajoy

Nine people have been arrested in total for the kidnapping of the Sanlúcar businessman, Rafael Ávila.

It has been revealed that one of the nine people arrested in Sevilla and Madrid in connection with the kidnapping of the Sanlúcar de Barrameda businessman, Rafael Ávila, who was released by police yesterday, is Raúl Brey Ábalo.

He is the cousin of Mariano Rajoy Brey, the leader of the Partido Popular, and brother to José Javier Brey who is a Physics professor in Sevilla University, who rose to fame last year when Mariano Rajoy quoted him on climate change.

On his arrest 20minutos reports that Raul Brey was openly proud of his family links.
