The Mallorcan player says he is still improving.
Rafa Nadal is safely through to the second round of Wimbledon, beating the German player, Andreas Beck, 6-4, 6-4 and 7-6.
He now meets Ernest Gilbis from Latvia who was one of the revelations at Roland Garros this year.
It took Nadal two hours and 20 minutes to get past the German player who showed he was a strong rival. Nadal rarely went to the net, but proved affective with his serve with 17 aces during the match.
After the game Nadal said that he was now a far better player and he was improving still because he was young and practiced all the time. He told journalists however that he did not know if he was the best player on grass this year.
There were wins yesterday also for Robredo and Almagro.
