The daughter of the Senate president declares to the police in the Estepona corruption case

Patricia Rojo is the Town Planing Area Director in the Estepona Town Hall

The daughter of the President of the Spanish Senate, Patricia Rojo, has declared as another person charged in the Astapa corruption case in Estepona.

The daughter of Javier Rojo is the Town Planning Area Director in Estepona Town Hall, and gave a statement to the police yesterday.

Also declaring yesterday were the acting Mayor, Rafael Montesinos, and the lawyer Ignacio Pérez de Vargas.
On leaving the police station at 2,35 pm yesterday afternoon, Patricia Rojo declined to talk to the press, while the others said that they had given information to the judge.

Meanwhile it has been revealed in today’s Diario Sur, that the police recorded some of the meetings between those councillors and businessmen accused in the Astapa case on video. Such meetings were often held in local bars or restaurants or in Puerto Banús, and that the police surveillance started in the first quarter of last year.
