The 45 year old man was working outdoors when he collapsed last Monday.
The first victim of heatstroke this summer in Spain is recovering in the intensive care unit of the General Hospital in Granollers, Barcelona.
The 45 year old man was working outside when he collapsed and lost consciousness last Monday. He spent the following 24 hours on assisted breathing as liquids were added to his body in support of his kidney functions.
He’s expected to be allowed on to the general wards shortly.
