Energy savings and educational use will be made from the panels installed in nine schools and colleges in the town.
Elche Town Hall has introduced a new progam to place solar panels on nine schools and colleges in the town to save on energy costs.
The councillor for education, Blanca Gonzalez, noted to the informacion newspaper, that the solar panels would also educate youngsters on the need to move towards renewable energy sources in the face of climate change, and that the panels were being used in both maths and nature classes.
