The inauguration of the new Cudeca furniture shop in Torre del Mar took place on Wednesday 2nd July.
The huge local measuring 250 m2 is situated opposite the Cudeca Charity Shop on Calle Infantes número 48 in Torre del Mar. Mr. Antonio Rosique, the Torre del Mar Mayor; Mrs. Joan Hunt, OBE, President and Founder of Cudeca and Mr. Rafael Olalla, Cudeca’s Financial Director were all present at the official opening and together they cut the ribbon to open the shop.

Melanie Saktreger, the shop co-ordinator quotes “there is a great demand for furniture in the area. We offer good quality furniture at a great price!”

The shop is currently open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 1.30pm but will shortly be opening from 10am through to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 1.30pm on Saturdays. If you are interested in donating furniture, please contact Tony on tel: 661 826 654.

Cudeca is a non-governmental organization offering specialised cost-free palliative care to patients suffering from non-curable advanced cancer within the province of Málaga. The 13 charity shops and it’s volunteers form a very special part of Cudeca and thanks to their dedication, the net income achieved during these years has financed the majority of the patient home care costs.

For more information on how to become a Cudeca volunteer or to become a benefactor, please contact the Hospice Centre on tel: 952 56 49 10 or e-mail cudeca@cudeca.org.
