There are allegations that Málaga purchased two matches last season to ensure promotion to the Primera Liga.

Real Sociedad could be in the Primera Liga in Spain next season with Málaga placed back in the Second division according to the Spokesman for Real Sociedad, Luis María Antoñana Moraza. He said that he was confident that the Competition Committee will make such a ruling today following the complaint made by a FIFA official who accused Málaga of buying games to ensure promotion from the Second Division.

The decision on the scandal has been postponed over recent weeks but could well be decided today, with the allegation being that Lorenzo Sanz, the father of the current President of Málaga, Fernando Sanz, being the person who fixed two Second Division games last season.
