Fatal traffic accident in Orihuela

A man was also seriously injured in a work accident in La Nucia.
A 36 year old cement mixer driver has been killed in a traffic accident in Orihuela. Another man was slightly injured when the mixer was hit by another lorry on a curve of the CV870 at La Murada at 1045 yesterday morning.
The dead man’s truck left the road and overturned causing his death. Firemen took more than three hours to get his body out of the cab, and two cranes were needed to right the vehicle.
Meanwhile a 43 year old Spanish worker was serious injured in La Nucía yesterday when a sheet of aluminium fell on him. The 43 year old man has a head wound following the accident in a company on the Alberca industrial estate in La Nucia.
