Two Civil Guards arrested in Águilas

The two are accused of taking part in drug trafficking locally.

Two Civil Guards have been arrested in Águilas, Murcia, accused of taking part in drug trafficking, and also of bribery and the use of privileged information.

Reports indicate that the two have been under investigation since last May when 7,000 kilos of hashish was found in Almería and Murcia provinces, and that the arrests were made by the Civil Guard in collaboration with the National Police and tax authorities.

It’s understood that two others were also arrested in the operation codenamed ‘Fénix’.
