Only part of the coastline was affected by the jellyfish over the weekend.

The high temperatures brought the jellyfish close to shore in Denia and Javea over the weekend.

Red cross and beach look outs have increased their presence on the Punta del Raset and l’Arenal beaches where many public suffered stings, and warning yellow flags were flying.

Denia Red Cross said some 60 people were stung on Saturday morning, but their warning flags kept many people out of the water.
