The amount does not include money owed in Social Security.
Spanish professional football clubs owe the tax man 607 million €. The Agencia Tributaria has just released information about the debt and note that a further sum of money, as yet unknown, is owed to Social Security.
The number, which relates to the end of April, was given in a parliamentary answer to the IU leader Gaspar Llamazares who had placed a question on the size of the debt.
It’s unlikely that the Agencia Tributaria will collect all it is owed with six clubs currently filing for bankruptcy protection.
