It comes after the failure of Roger Federer to reach the quarter finals in Cincinnati.

The defeat of Roger Federer in Cincinnati and the win for Rafa Nadal against the German Tommy Haas,6-4, 7-6, leaves the door wide open for the Spaniard to end the tournament as the new World Number One.

If Nadal wins the final, he’ll be the Number One on Monday, and will put an end to a 234 week rule by the Swiss player.
