The festivities continue in the city for the next ten days.

Spanish pop star David Bisbal gives his only summer concert in Spain this year as part of the Málaga Fair which gets underway tonight. The singer from Almería has promised his hits of the past as well as songs from his latest record which is still being prepared for release next year.

The gig tonight is the third edition of the MTV Málaga summer and takes place on the La Malagueta beach.

At a press conference for the concert yesterday, Bisbal said the people of Málaga enjoyed music in a very special way and that it was a city he loved to play in.
Support acts are the Pussycat Dolls and Kardinal Offishall.

The concert follows the fireworks which open the Málaga Feria this year which then continues until Sunday week. 164 casetas will make up the night time fairground in the Cortijo de Torres area, while 12 casetas have been authorised in the city centre.

RENFE Spanish railways have announced a 33% increase in AVE high speed train seat numbers from Madrid over this weekend which coincides with the national fiesta for the Asuncion.
