As many as 850 firefighters were used against the blaze, including volunteers, forestry workers and military personnel.
Meanwhile a fire of another type has destroyed a furniture factory in Ourense. The Bazar Ourense was found blazing on Sunday afternoon and an hour later only the structure of the five story building remained. There are no reports of any injuries.
