smallerBy h.b. - Aug 17, 2008 - 6:47 PMThe fiestas in Tabernas have now been cancelled.A 14 year old boy died on Friday night after being electrocuted next to a feria fairground attraction at the travelling fair in Tabernas, Almería. Juan José A came into contact with a live post next to the bumper cars, producing a short circuit. He was taken to a health centre just 50m away but all attempts to revive him failed.
The tragedy led the Mayor of Tabernas, Antonio Ubeda, to suspend the festivities which were in honour of the local patron saint.
