The second Formula One race of the season to be held in Spain saw Fernando Alonso forced to retire once again.
Felipe Massa has own the very first European Grand Prix race on the new urban port circuit in Valencia. The race was marked by the abandonment in the first lap of local favourite Fernando Alonso, who was hit by behind by Kazuki Nakajima in his Williams-Toyota. The car saw the back fin, gears and suspension damaged in the collision and could not continue.
It means that in both the Formula One races held in Spain this year, Alonso has been forced to retire.
Alonso lamented after the race that now he had ‘very bad luck’.
