Fatal work accident in Marbella

A 19 year old who fell from the roof of the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos has died in hospital.

Work has been halted at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Marbella after the fatal accident of a worker. The 19 year old fell some nine metres when repairing the roof of the building yesterday evening, and died in the Costa del Sol Hospital in the early hours of this morning.

Union UGT claims that the work at the site did not meet safety conditions, and work has now been stopped.
