There were other immigrant boat arrivals on the Spanish mainland also yesterday.
The bodies of 14 dead immigrants who died from hypothermia were on board a boat which arrived on Gran Canaria yesterday morning.
The 46 survivors on the boat said that they had been adrift for ten days.
It means at least 120 immigrants have died trying to reach Spain so far this year.
A group of 39 immigrants spotted yesterday afternoon when 55 miles off Motril have now been escorted into Motril Port. There was one woman among the travellers who are all reported to be in good health. They will now be identified and returned to their countries of origin.
And another group of Moroccan immigrants arrived close to the lighthouse at Cabo de Palos, near Cartagena in Murcia. The group of 12 were spotted by a fishing boat, and helped ashore by two local Spaniards around 7pm last night.
