Local Police in Las Pedroñeras in Cuenca shoot escaped bull 36 times

A denial of the shooting from the local town hall is at odds with a video which has now appeared on YouTube.

The Town Hall at Las Pedroñeras in Cuenca has denied that a bull which escaped from a local garage was shot 36 times in an effort to catch it, but a video which has appeared on You Tube has shown the allegation to be true.

The Local Police are now refusing to comment on the incident which happened last Tuesday during the preparations for the local fiestas.

One of the bulls from the Santa Coloma stud escaped from a garage as the lottery was being carried out to select the bulls for the forthcoming bullfight.

The local police then started their shooting spree, preferring not to wait the arrival of a vet who could have used a tranquiliser dart.
