It happened in Quintaner del Rey in Cuenca when their Ecuadorian father went to do some business nearby.

The bodies of two children aged three and five, have been found in a burnt out van in Quintanar del Rey in Cuenca.

First reports indicate that the father, Hugo Florencio Pillajo Cuascota, an Ecuadorian man with residency in Spain, had left the two children alone in the car while he went to carry out some business in an office nearby. The bodies of the children were found in the back of the vehicle.
A call to the Guardia Civil around 5pm last night alerted that a car was on fire.

Police say they are keeping all their options open in the case. The children’s mother was being attended to by psychologists last night following the tragedy and the local council has called three days of official mourning.

Meanwhile there has been an arrest following the death of an 11 year old Korean girl, In-Sil Oh, found dead at her home in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The arrested man is also Korean and as well as being accused of the murder, also faces charges of sexual aggression and violent theft. He was arrested in Ciudad Real, some 240 kilometres from Madrid.
