232,000 doses will be prepared across Málaga province.
The Andalucian Health Service has started its flu vaccination program with about a million doses to be given across the region, some 232,000 of them in the province of Málaga.
The main risk group to get the jab are those aged over 65 with the high risk time considered to be between the months of November and February.
There are 1,492 vaccination points set up across Andalucía this year, with carers and health workers also considered to be in the risk groups.
Health officials consider the vaccine reduces the number of people who have to be admitted to hospital with the flu by half, and it is considered to reduce the number of deaths from the virus by 80%.
