The most seriously injured man was taken to the Morales Mesaguer hospital.

A 22 year old Ecuadorian man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of two other men close to the La Ica petrol station where he is alleged to have previously beaten up the wife of one of them. The victims are from Bolivia and it all happened just before midnight on Sunday night when local police were alerted that someone had been stabbed at the petrol station on Avenida Miguel de Cervantes.

They found the two injured men at the scene, one of whom had been stabbed in the ribs on the left hand side to create an injury where ‘the victim’s intestines were clearly seen’. His wife had been punched in the mouth and also had neck injuries, while the second man had a 10cm cut in his right buttock.

Police immediately started a search for the aggressor who was naked from the waste up and was found shortly after when trying to escape. He is likely to be charged with attempted murder and a multi-use knife was found on his person.
