Shoppers stop supermarket stabbing in Mercadona

Another domestic violence fatality was avoided by the quick action of shoppers in Alcantarilla, Murcia.
Shoppers in Mercadona in Calle Mayor in Alcantarilla, yesterday stopped an individual armed with a knife from stabbing his partner just before 9pm last night. It’s not clear whether she works in the store or was there shopping but the action of shoppers was crucial before the police arrived.
When surrounded by police the aggressor stabbed himself in the chest, and was then taken to the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital.
