Drunken Air Europa pilots are sacked

The two pilots were reported to have been drunk and fighting in the street in Vigo.

Air Europa has sacked the two pilots who were found drunk and fighting in the street in Vigo in the early hours of the morning, just hours before they had to take a plane to Madrid last September 21. They were wearing their Air Europa pilots uniforms at the time.

A statement from the company said they considered a statement from the Local Police proved that the men were in a state of drunkenness five hours before they had to fly the plane. In the event another crew was used to man that particular flight.
