14 tons of hashish recovered in Callosa de Segura

29 people have been arrested in the operation, 14 of them in the Murcia region.

14.2 tons of hashish has been recovered from the Murcia region as police have broken up a gang and arrested a total of 29 people across the country, 14 of them in the Murcia region in Callosa de Segura. The gang operated in five Spanish provinces and in as many countries.

11 Spaniards, two Moroccans and a Romanian were arrested in Águilas and Murcia, and four boats and 27 vehicles were impounded along with 350,000 € in cash and the 14.2 tons of the drug.
Investigations in the case started last May in Torrevieja.

Meanwhile in a separate case the Instruction Court 2 in Cartagena has ordered two Spaniards and a Moroccan to prison on remand after they were caught trying to bring two tons of hashish ashore in a boat in the early hours of yesterday.
