Elche flood damage could reach four million Euro

A total of 1,300 claims have been made after the cloudburst over the town on September 26.

Residents of Elche have presented a total of more than 1,300 claims for damaged following the recent rains and the cloudburst which affected the town on September 26.

Investigators have already authorised the payout of some 450,000 € to 155 claimants, indicating that the total payout from the Hacienda Insurance Compensation Fund could reach more than four million.

The claims from Elche represent nearly half of the total from the Valencia region for the storm.
