Spanish Navy witness the start of the Volvo Ocean Race in Alicante

The Naval presence will be led by the aircraft carrier 'Principe de Asturias'.
The ‘Príncipe de Asturias’ aircraft carrier and the Spanish naval frigate ‘Navarra’ arrived in Alicante yesterday in time to witness the start of the Volvo Ocean Race which leaves the port tomorrow.
The race will be officially started by King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia who arrive in the city today to also award the Jaume I prizes.
