The ex Mayor of Marbella has been granted the 'third grade' allowing him to spend weekends at home. The so-called ‘third grade’ open prison regime has been granted to the ex Mayor of Marbella, Julián Muñoz, although reports indicate that he will not be released from prison immediately.
He has been held since July 2006 on remand in the Malaya corruption case, and has several other cases pending, and is also held having been found guilty in three other town planning cases, but under the third grade he will be able to spend weekends at home and only have to return to sleep in the old prison in Málaga from Sunday to Thursday nights.
