It follows the incidents ahead of the game against Marseille.

UEFA has announced that Atlético Madrid have to close their ground, the Vicente Calderón Stadium for the next three Champions League matches.

It comes after what UEFA considers to be the serious incidents seen in the ground before the game against Olympique de Marseille.

The next three Champions League matches will have to be played at least 300 kms away from Madrid.

It’s understood that Atlético Madrid are to appeal the sentence.
