The high speed railway line will also see the loss of a large amount of agricultural land in the Sierra de Callosa de Segura.
Construction of the AVE high speed line between Elche and Orihuela will mean the compulsory purchase of 180 homes in Callosa de Segura, Cox, San Isidro and Granjaas the line goes across the Sierra de Callosa de Segura.
The 20 km link will also see the loss of millions of square metres of productive agricultural land, according to farmers union COAG. They continue to protest the route to the Ministry for Development.
The compulsory orders have been published now in the BOE official state bulletin, but owners have not been informed individually as yet.
